Let the keg sit 24 hours after hooking up, you’ll reduce a lot of foam loss along with making sure your serving pressures are up to spec for your particular elevation.
@alexmartinez5113
2 жыл бұрын
Also never carry a keg sideways, this creates bigger air bubbles in the keg which can mess up the way the keg taps and carbs and definitely let it sit for about 5-6 hours to get a nice chill and to let the bubbles settle.

@@wakinki typically oxidation won’t happen fast enough during a single glass pour, the usual culprit and the “skunking” has to do with UV radiation interactions between light and acids from hop oils. Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but the foam is because of the temperature of your beer it needs to be colder. Should be 38 degrees.
@friedenstone9779
2 жыл бұрын
If you have to drink your beer that cold, it ain't worth drinking. At 38 degrees, there is practically no taste. For this type of beer, you should be storing at the low 40s, but not below. The foam is more likely due to the keg being freshly tapped and the lines still warm.
@mikegreen4207

I love these vids but I can’t help but notice flaws in a few of them like the car check before a trip and the butane refill. In this vid (I’m assuming your psi was correct) you didn’t let your keg come to equal temp of the kegerator. If you buy a keg and bring it to your kegerator at home, you need to let it rest for a few hours in the kegerator for everything to set to equal temp. It’s the reason your beers is foamy 👍
@TheTemplar1191

Well they have to release the video so Mabye they can’t wait that long
@delimo5445
2 жыл бұрын
Every video abouy these guys making cocktail or drinking beer is fucked up. Even this video. You don't need to have the CO2 shut down before you tap a keg, and you should have the tap filled with rinsing water before pushing the beer through it. If your tap is completely empty it will get contaminated. If your tap is filled with rinsing water after the cleaning solution, the "first foams" shouldn't be foamy, or the pressure is wrong. Normally the pressure will push the clean water though and the beer will be great. Also these guys are talking about airpressure, not CO2 pressure. You can push beer through with air, but you'll have to pour it empty in few days or the beer will oxidize. Also they're propably not using kegerator, but beer cooling line, which will cool the beer when it goes through The system.

Try mixing Nitrogen into that gas mix; it'll be smoother. Carbon Dioxide reacts with water to form bitter Carbolic acid. Also, mixed bubbles are smaller and creamier. Nitrogen is "smaller" than carbon dioxide in that it's less dense, because it's "Sphere of influence" is actually wider than that of carbon dioxide, despite it being a smaller molecule. Usually smaller stuff can be packed tighter together, but if the small thing had a wall around it you couldn't see, they could only be packed as tightly as the wall around them. Stop clearing the line, leave the keg alone for a few minutes and it won't be foam. The ONLY reason it was all foam was because it was transported on it's side in the back of your car. Allow the gas to dissolve into the drink and it won't be foam. Foam is what happens when a gas is knocked out of solution (What else would be filling the bubbles?), gas getting knocked out of solution is reversed by a short stay under pressure, or a short stay in cold temperature. There is no need to clear your line, infact that wastes co2.
