Climb jutting stones, swing on obvious pipes, climb lattice, hay bale. Its the same exact shit. Literally. Except slower and with less buttons so it feels like you’re doing even less. Miss when the games wouldn’t point out every single last step to an objective and actually had different climbing techniques so you had to time wall grabs or jump different directions and make perfect landings. I actually think there can be two things that can be implemented. 1. The smoke bomb creates a red smog. Now while it can/should help disappear from nearby enemies but it should make distant enemies specially ones on higher ground/point such as archers get attracted since red light has the longest wavelength and can be spotted from an increased distance and people will not ignore it as normal smoke is white/greyish in colour. 2. Since Basim is sliding using bare hand it should decrease his health while he is sliding 0.1% of his current health every second. In this manner, we can see he is not an immortal demigod but rather a skilled fighter who is mortal and prone to injury. Also it will increase the complexity and players will try to avoid using the zipline while escaping on a very low health. This should also make his attacks less effective while he is recovering as one cannot punch or use swords and daggers well with injured hands.

What are ppl smoking when they show shorts of this game and gush like it's something new? It's literally the same parkour animations and mechanics as Origins and every game after it.

The parkour is actually incredibly similar to Valhalla’s. And if you want to talk about freedom. Look at all the older AC games, the parkour systems that Ubisoft still ignores and neglects. Even though the entirety of the community absolutely adores Unity’s parkour system, Ubi chooses not to optimize a game with it.

This still looks like the parkour from the RPG games, just with more freedom in where you can go. But as someone who is playing AC: Odyssey right now, this looks exactly like the movement from that game

This was literally the main feature of the AC 1 gameplay showcase 17 years ago... the way you can choose your own path and traverse in your own way not following a specific route... this is just sad man...

When AC withholds mechanics they had in their original games for years and then brings it back: “this is so amazing what a cool new feature.”

AC: Unity was peak Assassins Creed. Perfect time period, amazing map, and coop! I played it after the game was patched so I understand the hate from launch. It's still my absolute favorite AC though.

All the old games had this even Unity and Syndicate, The last 3 games didn't have it because they were trying to change the formula but apparently they see that the fans missed the original formula says that's what they're going back to it's going to be different from the last 3 games but the same as the other assassin's creeds
