some fun facts about guardian angels that most don't know about(outside of the Max ARG lore): 1) They aren't "reused" every person has had their own guardian angel and that one is with them forever. There for it is common to see a crying angel over a baby's grave as their guardian angel didn't get long to protect them. 2) Some folks have more then one! (mainly priests and others) 3) Christ Himself also had some and there are some who think His guardian angel was Saint Michael the Archangel himself.

Great video! The one thing I want to contribute to the convo here in the comments is that I think it’s more accurate to describe Unfiction as a term used to indicate the whole spectrum that includes proper ARG’s as well as webseries that borrow elements of the ARG style without being 100% interactive in their own right, as in something like Petscop would be an Unfiction webseries without technically being a proper ARG, while this is itself a more proper ARG and also fits under that Unfiction umbrella

I'm so glad you decided to do a video on this!! It was such an important time on the internet for me, while I was still settling into college. I'm glad it was big for others too :3

H.U.R.L. lore is actually pretty cool, and more stuff built upon this would be neato.

Porn bots sending people horror art might be the greatest thing ive ever heard. I think they should do that on purpose, cause I would definitely be more curious about clicking that link.

Blowing my mind that this was three years ago now... I remember all the confusion and theorycrafting on day one but I had no idea how the whole story panned out so this was a really cool summary, nicely done.

Thanks for telling this fascinating story so well. A mystery that engaged an online community with a series of ominous posts of perhaps metaphysical origin that led to a decidedly wholesome massively multiplayer ritual. Made my day a little brighter, cheers.

i remember having this vivid dream about this office setting and a very small group of employees in a small conference room. i was there and the meeting was to enforce the rule that no one could complain about limbo being so hot. then a flood.

i remember opening the neo cities website and scouring through anita's blog for answers. some friends and i would stay up really late on discord calls compiling evidence looking for answers. this shit kept me up at night it was so exhilarating to be there at ground zero and help solve the mystery!!

And to believe this all started with some guy who just wanted people to care about themselves. That's kinda sweet.

4:15 lol, as a nctzen, I heard the word neocities and did a double take. Also fun fact, in early 2020 as a result of people being bored of the pandemic, nctzens on twitter started role playing as residents in ncity (or "neo city"). It was pretty fun, we had a major, a bakery, fire station, etc. But then we got bored, and then all the accounts pretty much stopped updating lol

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! I remember when this happened and i saw it unfold but i was so confused because there was no clear explanation of the story, only scattered posts, memes, and theories. Thank you so much for properly going over this art piece. And i cant fucking believe it was made by 15 year olds holy shit
