Over a 100 rockets were fired towards Israel’s port city of Haifa on October 8 in the heaviest barrage against the city since the war started. The Israeli military said at least 20 rockets were launched from Lebanon at the coastal city following 85 projectiles that were fired in the first wave. This brought the total number of projectiles launched by Hezbollah at Haifa within half an hour to over 100. The Iranian ally said it had launched a "large rocket salvo" at Haifa and its northern suburbs. Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claims it carried out five separate operations on October 8 against five Israeli targets.
