Next time, and for those who haven't done it yet - place a washer in the hole before pressing the rod into the base. Both sides will be exactly the same... Nice mods!

I just use the hand pump to creep up on the press depth.

Excellent teaching video. Thank you for not filming your face and screaming at the camera and running around talking really fast. This is what an instructional video should be.

Hey, go to Big R and invest in a variety of washers or varying thicknesses. Then when you have to press something and leave a relief you can place the washer over the pin and press the ram flat with the workpiece. Then the relief will be equal without guessing. Using an extension... uh, okay... 😜

See there even with two hands you still dropped the extension... ;-) I also got the air over hydraulic jack but I went with the 32 ton. Some reason I always go bigger. I am on my way now to get the foot valve for it. I mounted my air input to the top side of the press with a plate I made. Also after I put the frame together I welded the joints but left in the bolts for extra strength. My frame was gray and not orange. I am also going to mount 5 inch wheels on it. But I already have a big dolly that it will sit into the frame. All I have to do is bolt it to the press. I am also interested in putting the winch on it but a small one. I have all the cable of different sizes from ATV Winches. Thanks for the 2 videos and good luck with it.

Nice! I do wish I had put bigger casters on it now.Which foot pedal are you getting? And where did you find a 32 ton jack? Awesome. If you make a video, please send me a link, thanks!!!

I'm thinking about using this for my shop as a forge press. I wonder how it would do for forming Damascus billets.

Question about the foot pedal. I got one of those and the air passages looked extremely small. Not the fitting, but the actual passages themselves. Looks like there would be a flow problem.

Did this foot pedal last? Most of the ones on Amazon fail after 2-3 weeks.

So far, but I don't have a bunch of use on it. Maybe 50 times? But so far so good, I did keep the manual valve just in case.

@@jp554731 I'm looking to get a pedal for my 20 ton and curious about the quality of the Amazon ones. You're first comment kinda scares me away from buying one of those ones on Amazon. If you look at the video at about 2 min., does it not show the model number sticker on the valve? Or is that a number designation for the type of valve that it is? "fv320-08"

Well I got the press together and the 32 ton jack was almost to big to fit. Bolt pattern was 180 degrees off and wider. Mods Mods Mods.. Also made a handle for the pressure release on the jack. I will have some photos tomorrow. because I have now way to video it. Also waiting on the foot switch I ordered. I tell ya that's some pretty soft steel in that press or should I say cheap. Later guy.
