This will work *ONLY if the current is very low. Otherwise it'll get so corroded that the metal will just fall appart over time. I've done that with 316 welding rods, and it completely disapeared into rust! I didn't know 316 stainless could corrode this bad. Lesson learned, turned out that current density to plate surface area is *very important for durability.

Meyer Cell was a 1.5KV step-up transformer to electrodes at low current. Pulse on and off DC burst mode 3 seconds on, 7 seconds off. Just tap water or distilled water. VOLTAGE pressure - separates water. Not electrolysis. No chemicals. Multiple cells are not parallel to a single cell. Water capacitor (cell) frequency = pulsator power frequency. ... and the plates in his design was isolated (coated with plastic so that that they do not have contact with the water.) . So he has build capacitor.
