Just simply try to avoid a seatpost or a bike that it's proprietary seatpost use a side clamping mechanism. The Syncros style 2-bolts top-bottom clamping is the best.

Was considering the RSL for my Madone SLR 7, but got a great deal on S Works Power ($150 new off FB marketplace). Luckily, Trek didn't go full proprietary on the Madone and still sells 7x9 clamps for the new seat mast.

When you consider saddle weight as a concern you know it's gonna be the guy who never goes to parties.

ever try the selle italia SLR boost? 7x9 rails, and a similar shape to the RSL. I run it on all my bikes

I have, came on my factor. The large cutout didn’t suit me But the Novus Evo Boost is a winner.

To make it funnier Specialized S-WORKS Romin has 7x8.8 rails and they will slide out of the clamp :D Peak engineering!

Hi there. Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't it possible to just buy a 7x10 conversion clamp? I'm going to get this exact saddle on my sl8 too.

Sorry to hear about that. It's a great saddle so hopefully you can sell it off to recover your money.
