Charles Malki, Biologist & Plant Expert from ivorganics.com/ discusses hibiscus plant care. The generally accepted time for pruning your hibiscus is between late winter to early spring; however, by pruning in summer, we can encourage another flush of growth before dormancy and have a beautifully controlled size plant going into the fall and winter months. Any adjustments (additional pruning) to growth can then be followed in the preferred time of late winter / early spring.
Additional topics discussed were organic vs. chemical fertilizers, organic tree guard paint (IV Organic 3-in-1 Tree Guard Paint).
