Sorry for the delayed response. I didn't draw anything out. I Built a temporary frame the same size as the doorway opening and kept tweaking it until I got the pivot and clearance right. I could draw it out for someone to build.

@@2ccrosby145 are the hinges on top and bottom? Or on the side?

I used the pivot and pin from Murphy Hardware. Pivot is on the bottom and the pin is on top.

Use a electromagnetic door lock (600lbs holding strength) on the top right corner, opposite the hinges. That’s what I did on mine. Then hid the key fob scanner by my light switches. Adding an triple light switch panel, only have two light switches. The third hole where a light switch would go is covered with a blank “like it’s not being used”. But the key fob scanner is hidden behind it. Excellent job on the molding, looks great. Professional craftsmanship.

You are a true craftsman! Beautiful. Thanks for the explanations - did you install this in a 2x4 door opening? Thank you! Would like to have seen the other side.

That's absolutely incredible! How big is the actual cabinet in portioned to the jamb? We were trying to make one and put a 24x80 cabinet/ bookshelf in a 24.5" wide by 81" casing (inside to inside) and it was too small for it to move.

Nice job! Looks very clean. Do you have any issues with expansion/contraction since the tolerances are so close to hide the seams?

No problems at all, but the temperature is pretty consistent.

I used a Murphy pivot which is supposed to hold something like 3800 lbs and because it is so wide I put two 3 wheel low profile casters which are rated at like 1200 lbs each. The only thing that I don't like is that it is on tile floor and it bumps when it hits a grout line. If it wasn't so wide, I would have just used the pivot.

What did you use for the back to cover the 54 in width and the height is it two pieces?
@2ccrosby145

It's all made out of 3/4" oak plywood and it is 80" tall. There is 1 joint on the back that I biscuit joined together and made the joint so that a shelf would cover it. Although after I glued, filled and sanded it, you have to look real close to find it.

After the COVID outbreak, KZitem recommending me all the holocaust survivors testimonies and all going on there, I think anything can happen, though I am going to settle in India, I don't know why I could feel the WW3 coming. To protect my family, I would need to build this when I build my house in about 2 years of time
