3:02 Did I just see an official fire a cap gun designating the end of the first quarter? I don't remember seeing that before.

The good ol” baseball infield in the middle of the football field.. probably was hell to play on..I imagine the views in the stadium weren’t great either since the sight lines were built with baseball in mind. The 90s was an era of expansion and relocation for the NFL and owners that shared their field with baseball we’re pushing hard for new stadiums with the threat of relocation. That’s one of the reasons St.Louis was able to get the Rams.

I was at this game. My dad would get us season tickets every year. I was disappointed the Rams lost but I had to admit, it was a pretty entertaining game. Other than the Super Bowl, this is the game I think of when I hear Rams vs Bengals.

Fact: Both of these teams lost to the 49ers in the biggest possible game they could both be in. Niners in SB23 and the Niners in the NFCCG in 89.

That endzone dive was deadly and could have gone wrong, you see why the NFL has had an issue with concussions and head injuries. They have such inefficiency with teaching players&coaching staff and holding them accountable for player safety. The defender could have easily just stood up and forced him back.

Not really, this wasn’t 1970s football. The game really opened up in the 80s. Marino and Fouts were putting up numbers like this. It’s not wide open like today but this idea that the game was stuffy and run first until like 2010 is largely a myth. It was well balanced until the mid 2000s.
