This is the most famous Raees Sahi family of Daska, District Sialkot. Chaudhry Shakrullah Khan Sahi, Raees e Azam Daska, was the man who protected and saved thousands of Sikhs and Hindus of Daska during partition and not a single person was killed in Daska during partition and this whole credit goes to him. Dozens of Hindus and Sikhs who migrated from Daska mentioned his name as the “protector” in their interviews with different KZitem Channels from across the border. Chaudhry Shakrullah Khan Sahi was the son of Raees Chaudhry Nasrullah Khan Sahi, Vice President of Sialkot Municipality from 1896 to 1904 (Mayor of Sialkot), he was also one of the most leading lawyers of Sialkot. Former Railway Minister of India and First Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Chaudhry SIR Zafrullah Khan Sahi, was the elder brother of Chaudhry Shakrullah Khan. Chaudhry Sir Zafrullah Khan and his youngest brother Chaudhry Asadullah Khan Sahi were the only real brothers in the history of Punjab before partition who became the elected members of the Assembly for the same tenure, no other example can be given in this regard. Sikhs and Hindus who migrated from Daska still respect the family and remember them fondly even after 75 years of partition.
