Later, just outside of Rock Springs, Eric explores another beautiful and secluded wonder-Ableman’s Gorge, which is also home to the famous Van Hise Rock. Perfect after a day of hiking, Rock Springs has fresh artesian water, straight from the rocks. Off to Reedsburg for some more on-land adventures, where Eric hops on the 400 State Trail.
While the woods hold much outdoor recreation, the waterways are a vast oasis to get away. Teaming up with Vertical Illusions, who offer guided paddle tours, Eric sets out on the Perupper Dells River, taking in the sandy shores and spectacular rock formations along the way.
