Great Video!! What I do like is that dispite the Keystone being an eBike you are still getting elevated HR. So the myth of not gettting exercise while riding one is debunked. Atleast in this class rating of eBike.

Yeah for sure, you can still get a work out, it may be less intense in some ways, but if you ride longer it can all be a wash.

If you get to keep the Keystone over the winter, it would be interesting to see how the battery holds up in cold/below freezing weather.

I only had for a week back in July, but hopefully I will get to try it again in the snow this winter!

My borealis flume steering wobbles side to side. It doesn’t shake front to back it make any noise. Is this normal for a fat bike? I have a mastodon manitou fork and it seems to be to heavy that if I move the handlebars side to side, it wobbles.

I have not had that issue with any bike. I would take it to a shop to get looked at. It sounds like there is something amiss or out of adjustment.

@@ElevationEveryWeekend I was told because of the fat tires. The fat tires can run lower tire pressure and that can lead to the tires flexing. That’s why moves From side to side.

What is the sizing like on the M Crestone vs L Keystone? What is your height? I'm 5'8 and wondering if I should go large on the Crestone.
@ElevationEveryWeekend

I am 5’11”. The Crestone I had was a large and felt spot on, the Keystone was a medium and was do-able but definitely a bit small for me. Sizing is always tough to say for people due to variances in body proportion and preference, but it looks like you are right in the range for the medium Crestone. You can always call the Borealis guys directly and talk to them as they may be able to help you more on specifics. 320-FAT-BIKE.

So basically if you want to be taken for a ride = go electric....If you would rather do the ridding yourself = 100% human powered.

Well, you can still definitely get a work out on the e-bike, but if you really want to suffer and get max HR, by all means turn off the assist! Or, with the assist on, ride longer than you would/could on the acoustic bike.

I am impressed that the Keystone comes in at 56 lbs. That may be the lightest e-fat bike out there.

Yeah for sure, and it actually rides like a performance based fat bike as well!
