BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME. And they are ,,,,, to PERTH. Great lesson for those who have not progressed 1 inch in developing a new world class track for the Greater Brisbane Region. Time for a rethink??

Hi Toby, glad to see high limit coming to Australia, but what is this gonna do for speedweek series for SA and VIC? As my opinion is this is gonna destroy the speedweek series as a whole. Why did they pick those date and not other dates that don't impact other major sprintcar event in Australia?
@benjohnson5129
Ай бұрын
Probably because WA always runs USA v WA speedweek those dates. Pity though for speedweek

Bro if 12 drivers are going from high limit it’s prob going to be some of the best high limit / world of outlaws drivers I think some of the best world of outlaw drivers will go to but last year Rico Abro and Brad sweet dominated one of the events in Australia so I think Brad sweet or some of the best high limit drivers will win the event so I don’t know why they’re making an Australian dollars because I feel like a lot of the drivers and high limit that are going there are probably going to be the best drivers so I definitely think they’re gonna win it

If you're over there at Eldora in the U.S.A (witch is a 1/2 mile track) and let's face it, by broadcasting your there, you're promoting it there, then why, when asked, do you never promote the idea of a brand new, or even a reconditioned and extended, East Coast Australian track that's at least 1/3 mile? I've asked you a number of times if you were supportive of the idea, and let's be clear, it's not as though we've never had those tracks before (Perth Motorplex comes to mind, and the old Sydney Showground Speedway) but any time I've ever raised the issue with you, you've "pooh-poohed" the idea, always on financial grounds. (Totally understandable, given current circumstances in that arena) But still mate, it's NOT totally undoable!! With people like your good self on board, and then with ledgends of the likes of Gary Rush who, in the past, has expressed his interest in the idea (by the way, I was there to watch him win the very last feature race held at the Showgrounds, although not in Sprintcar, in a Midget [Speedcar] and what a pleasure that was. I still have my little bag of Showground Dirt from the very night in 1996!!) on board with this idea, and I know many others who may be too, why not be our "advocate for extension" to gee, I don't know, maybe the ever suffering Eastern Creek site that has been designed for disaster from the start.

Anything is possible with the right vision backed with dedicated and motivated people to fulfill it. Unfortunately too many are believing and looking to Government to boost and subsidize our sport.
