This gen problems, cruise control button, motor mount, center console lid latch, all easy fixes, I would buy again in a heartbeat, I got the 2009, I do know some of the earlier models had crack head problems, I called Honda and talked to them before I purchased mine and I think they said 2008 and newer didn’t have that problem, cant remember but I know 2009 don’t have it, just make sure to keep transmission fluid changed, I would do it every 50.000 but that’s just me and I’m not talking about draining 2 1/2 quarts refill mess, just remove transmission cooler lines and remove all fluid and replace, the engine is good for 300.000 plus easy, has steel timing chain not a belt

Four cylinder Hondas are among the best cars built for durability although I hear the new CVT is not making everyone happy. I owned one and got over 200,000 when I lost the transmission. The V6 Hondas (and Acuras) I got killed with transmission problems. 2001 Acura TL new transmission at 60,000 and sold the car when the second transmission went at 119,000. 2003 Honda Accord V6 first transmission went at 19,000, second at 135,000. Sold that car then. Now own a 2006 Saab 9-3 from 6 miles and just broke 144,000. Nothing major has broken just like on the Hondas (besides the transmission). While Honda made a reputation on durability, especially with the four cylinders, but other manufacturers have closed the margin. I think you can get good cars besides Japanese now. You just have to find it.

@Buc_Stops_Here

Toyota is solid. So is Lexus. After that, a number of Buicks seem to hold up now. Audi also does well followed by Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, and Infinity. Due to transmission issues Honda is now below all those brands as well as behind BMW which is incredible as they tend to have electrical problems after a few years. Acura is even lower.

Not bad and not great. My position on buying used car is as follows: I prefer for example 06 civic with 170k for 3000$ and sell it for 4000$ than buying same car with 100k for 5000 and selling it for 6000 for example. Why? Because you are pretty much getting the same car. By 100k is time when stuff goes and you still have to put in money, or buying with 170k when everything was replaced already. That is my own opinion ( I am a used car dealer for 9years now)
@repaired2106
8 жыл бұрын
Sure thing some would say that in another 30k miles your car will have 200k and noone will buy it after that. But the truth is that you bought a car for 4000$ remember? And you will sell it for 3000 or 2500$ 100% especially japanese car. ( not nissan that thing just wont last that long) Most of my customers buy cars because of condition not because of the mileage. Again, this is my opinion. Because I am from Europe where 80% of cars are with rolled back mileage. So condition is the only factor in buying a car.
