As great as the 2011 Packers record looked, their offense had to play almost perfectly each week and their defense needed almost a takeaway per game because they gave up yards in chunks.

same with Brady's defense that year in 2011. Gave up hella yards but still good at points allowed. People are hypocrite these days though as they view yards allowed as being a horrible defense when there's more to it than just yards allowed. packers got smack in the playoff real hard during this season and never quite recovered from it.

This game was when I started to feel like the 2011 season seemed strangely similar to the 2007 season for the Giants. Losing to an undefeated team late in the season by the same score 38-35 only to get revenge in the playoffs.

Made my first trip from Australia to New York to see the GMen at MetLife and ended up seeing this game. Incredible to be able to say I saw the Superbowl champs and one of the greatest qbs in a shootout live and in person. Thanks for uploading brought back happy, happy memories of the day.

The NFC was very strong in 2011mainly due to the offensive fire power from most of the teams. The Lions and Bears before the Jay Cutler injury were tough outings for everyone but once Cutler got hurt it left the door open for Falcons to get it. As for the Giants they were on a 5 game losing streak after this game and somehow Dallas sill imploded and went 1-4 the last 5 weeks and the Giants went 3-1 the last 4 and swept the Cowboys twice within that time frame.

As a Giants fan, this reminded me of when they played the undefeated Patriots during the 2007 regular season. The lowly Giants neck-and-neck with the top team in the league. Same exact score, too. So when they played the Packers in the playoffs, I knew a win was possible. I just couldn't imagine how spectacular of a beating it would be, regardless of a handful of questionable penalty calls in the Packers' favor.

Lol that Ballard catch was totally a TD. Refs tried to lick the Packers clean again in the playoffs but the Giants just kept scoring. Refs wanted to discount double check Rodgers in the showers after the game!

They had a defense in 2015. The reason they didn’t make the playoffs is bc they choked leads and didn’t know how to win. They had a fairly easy schedule as well

@@croixR I remember a few games the defense was raved about. I found it to especially be the breakout year for Matthews. But yeah you’re spot on lol paper defense needs to translate to performance. Far too many times in the league the depth can be elite and stellar. That obviously doesn’t translate to on-the-field performance. It’s kind of a case in point though when you consider the defense got more playing time and they were higher ranked in 2012.

For the TNF game between Indianapolis and Denver, this channel should upload the game between the colts and broncos from 2002, an ESPN SNF game a few days before Thanksgiving. It went into overtime, and Indianapolis won on a FG. It began a run of Indy beating Denver in most of the ensuing matchups, especially postseason. I know because I'm a Denver fan lol 😩😅 This was a good game too. Aaron rodgers got a generous roughing the passer penalty called in the packers favor lol.

Their pass defense was indeed awful but overall defense, they were still great. C'mon now. If they were as bad as you say they were, rodgers will have to drop points on every drives to ensure the packers stay alive for their season.

That’s what I’m saying. Defense in general was arguably at its peak in 2011 (tho 2011 was mainly a passer’s league w qb’s racking so many yards in passing). Packers defense was just a bit lower ranked in the 20s but that doesn’t mean they were bad. They were pretty good that year
