I have a Supermatic Citation Model 107 purchased new in 1972 for $96.00 at a sporting goods shop in Houston, TX. My parents gave me $200 when I graduated from college, and I used half of it to buy the High Standard. It still looks new, and I recently used it to qualify for concealed carry in Texas. It has a bull barrel and shoots like a dream with virtually no recoil. Nice collection of High Standards you've got.

15 years ago I found a neglected Sport-king at my local gun shop up in Alaska. Had a bit of surface rust, and the barrel release was frozen. I'd wanted an accurate .22 handgun to practice with, and that fit the bill. Brought it home with me, and it has been one of my favorite firearms ever since.

I have a Military 106 with the bull barrel built in 1967 Like the one in the upper left. My Dad bought it around that time. He bought a Double-Nine that he eventually gave to his Mom in case someone broke into her house. Unfortunately, someone did break in while she was out and they took the pistol. The 106 shoots great. I have shot it with high-velocity ammo but have stopped that after I heard that ammo could crack the frame.

GREAT VIDEO about most if not ALL of the significant variations of the "underrated" manufacturer of QUALITY INEXPENSIVE 22LRS!!!! I've got 2 of the semi-autos, Sport King the later (push button), but attaches to the frame by sliding off like an extra large dove tail instead of the Post and upsidedown bell, but the push button looks the same?!!! Then, I recently acquired a very nice SUPERMATIC "CITATION" with the angled grip (like a P08). Then I had a 6" Sentinel but sold it, I now have a 4" blued 103 and a snub nose Dura-Tone in the gold color and not the PINK or Turquoise (definitely geared for the WOMEN)!!!!😮😅 KEEP THE GOOD WORK!!!! I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT 22LRS as well, I've been trying to RESSURACT a few NEAT OLDER single shots one hundred or more years old! I hate to see HISTORY to RUST AWAY!!!😮😢

I had the Supermatic Trophy back in England. The best .22 pistol I have ever owned. I always wondered what the barrel indents were for. With the rear sight, they were a pain to lock the slide open.

I notice you've yet to acquire "The Victor," I believe the top of HS's line. I have a perfect, virtually unused specimen, bought in the 1990's. Gorgeous, heavy, perfectly balanced, accurate.

Beautiful collection, yours is one of the best I’ve seen here on KZitem. A lil over 2 years ago I decided to shoot .22Lr only at the range for now on. I have put together a nice lil collection of my/our own because my wife, kids and I love variations and differences in brands. So far my local gun place has had 4 different Hi Standards available, I’ve chosen 2 with several extra original magazines so far that really caught my eye and feel great in my hand. One from 1974, a Supermatic Citation Military with beautiful fluted 6+” barrel and the other from 1981/82, a Supermatic Citation SH era also with a long but squared(not fully round) barrel. Both have the real awesome trigger, sights and shoot so wonderfully I have trouble putting them down. I found a Colt Match Target from 1968 recently however I haven’t shot it yet, hopefully soon, it’s a real stunner too. Some others I have that are a real lot of fun to shoot as well are a Ruger Mark lV Hunter, Browning Buckmark Hunter & Camper, Heritage Barkeep, S&W 17-8 ten shot revolver, S&W Performance Center 41, & Browning Challenger lll. My kids and I love to lay them all out, set up our plinking targets and have a great day of shooting. Now the older ones you have are real interesting and historical however not practical for my needs of collecting and shooting. I got rid of my Ruger Mark 1, 2 & 3 year’s ago because of the difficulties with cleaning them however they were all great shooters. Which ones that you have shoot and cycle the best for you? Great video, I always love to learn about Hi Standards because I don’t know a lot about them but find them very cool and interesting.

Love listening & looking at the beauties. My favorite I think is the Supermatic Trophy Military. It's great looking at the little advances such as magazine releases, barrel releases, sights & grips plus checking on spelling High or Hi Standard. Thanks for letting us see them. 👍 👍

I shot better with the slant grips. The "buck rogers" muzzle brakes were very nice along with the barrel weights. I liked all the High standard line.

It's my understanding that some of the hd-militarys were given to troops for target practice and also survival pistols. My grandfather brought his back with him or at least that's the story I got. He was army corps of engineers and wasn't on the ground until after the fighting was over in that area

I have my dad's old Model H-D Military. I'm not a gun guy and I have no idea what to do with this Hi Standard. I asked my firearms instructor who has a wealth of firearms knowledge and he has never heard of it. Is it a good idea to take it to a gunsmith for a safety check? and some pre-marksmanship instruction? Or is it best cleared and kept for sentimental reason? Looks like new.

If your not familiar with it, I would seek out a knowledgeable dealer or smith that can show you how to work it. It is more than likely perfectly functional. They are very well made pistols
