I just repaired my microwave and this seems like a lot of unnecessary trouble. I just got a fuse, and door switch, from another old microwave I found. There's always a chance it too had a blown fuse but people throw away things for many other reasons. Mine had a damaged (with scorch mark) door switch and I assume that failure blew the HV fuse.

How do you know it's still a 5KV 0.7A Fuse?

Hi thanks for watching 🙏☺️ Not sure on this but the same size of wire I used and its original spring can tell that the amper is almost the same.

@@ARTaudio440 I believe you used a copper wire (reddish brown colour) but the older wire appeared to be either zinc or tin (silver colour). Would it matter which material I use for the wire?

@@omilavidanage6608 For me based on my experience, it doesn't matter as long as the wiire that being used is equivalent to the original size, specially for the small amper of fuse. In this video I used a wire came out from a microphone audio cable ☺️. My purpose of this video is to save an extra money and time if you are doing a troubleshooting where fuse was getting always blown.
