Germany’s T+A brought its flagship HV-series hi-fi components to the market around ten years ago, though the development of the products started several years before that. HV stands for High Voltage-but what does that mean?
That’s what this video, which was shot at T+A in April 2022, explores. In it, retired T+A employee Lothar Wiemann, who led the company’s R&D department until just a short time ago, talks about the genesis of the HV series, and he explains what happens when the began their research project to run amplifier rail voltages at more than 20 times the norm. The results, he explains, were fascinating. Watch this video to find out more.
