Need at least one strong example of hair cards. It’s still the most common workflow by far and that won’t change for a long time. Hair curves is probably less than 1% of hair for games.

This is using marmoset. Maya indie is 250$ a year and blender can’t make hair as good. This is about making high quality hair not a blender tutorial.
@vanityvoodoo969
2 жыл бұрын
Wasn't implying on it supposed to be a blender tutorial. Yes, Im sure we all know that Maya does a much better job of hair, but also, not everyone is willing, or can pay for Maya, so they are stuck only using Blender. Basically most indie developers don't have the funds to give their artists licenses until they get funding from some source. Hence again, why the vast majority of indies use Blender.

This is a great tutorial I am going to be using this for future projects. You mentioned that your render time took roughly 2 mins per fram to do. I was curious what videocard you have pr had at the time of this video. I am looking ti buy a new video card and I am wondering if a rtx 3070, 3080 or 3090 would be the best option for me. I do marmoset rendering in a professional capacity so I want to ensure that I am able to have peak performance but that I won't be getting something that will be overkill.
