Loved how Brian spoke in the combine about being thankfull towards God. If you have never experienced the moments when yields are good and a crop did well after a season, remember when a storm or otherwise extreme weather is going over the world, a farmer somewhere is praying to God that his crops are coming through ok. When i was little i did pray together with my granddad, kneeling against a kitchenchair. Right beside him. Praying the hail storms would not damage the small sugarbeet plants, the leaves of the potatoplants or the silage corn. Or even praying a heffer would come through labor ok (he had limousine beefcows and Holstein milkcows). I will never forget those moments. I miss him everyday. That makes farming so powerfull to me, being so close to nature, it's life at it's purest.

Hey guys! I am so glad corn harvest is going so well for you and the crop is a bumper one. Its so nice on a combine when crops are really fit and the weather is in your favour, makes life pleasant. So, when you made the gag about not realising it would be good to turn your cattle out on to corn stocks a little thing occurred to me. What do you bed them on during the time they are inside? I have seen you gather a lot of hay but nothing that might be used tor bedding.,,,,am I being dense?? Stay safe guys. DD.
@briansonne814
4 жыл бұрын
We put up soybean stubble last year which I think is more of an outside bedding. We have a fair amount of those left. There was no video on that last fall as Cole was away to college. We also have several millet bales from last year that we have been using however they do wrap on the manure spreader beaters occasionally. We also had leftover wheat straw bales that we finally got used up last spring. You will see in an upcoming video that the day we finished corn harvest that we baled some cornstalks. See you there Dave!
