I keep watching these two finals hoping that the results will change. I was nearly 10. A great era of football to grow up in. A Cats fan.

The win against Richmond at the MCG in Rd 17 is one of the best in our history. We had a very strong side, and this despite not having a FF or CHF. Waverley wws just too big a ground for a team with this deficiency and we were narrowly found out by Collingwood in successive Prelim's. If Waverley had never existed then l think we'd have given the 1980 Flag a real shake. And still have that feeling of "hoping the result will change" whenever l watch the 89 GF.
