a little bit of trivia... the red-haired woman was played by Jan Shepard. Her husband in real-life is Ray Boyle, a.k.a. "Dirk London." His name is a little further down in the list of credits (he played a cop in this episode of "Highway Patrol", but he was in "Zombies of the Stratosphere" with Leonard Nimoy in 1952. Nimoy played a Martian in that early film). Ray & Jan were a married couple when this show was made and are alive and still married to each other.

Slightly surprised that he wouldn’t notice his ‘58 Ford sedan was not only already warmed up but dented and covered in blood…
@istankimjong-unbutcantstan3398

Perhaps those kind of cars didn't dent easily and maybe there was no blood, but yes I thought about the part of a possible dent on the front and about the car being warm already. One dead giveaway for mother knowing that we had been watching tv while she was gone and we were supposed to be sleeping. The set was warm.

wouldn't the car have damage?
@m10bob22
5 жыл бұрын
Maybe not. In those days cars were not made of light metals and alloys...even plastics like now, so steel was still real steel. My brother was once hit while running across a street by a big '55 Buick...and the car suffered no damage whatsoever, whereas today hitting any pedestrian with a modern auto might total it!

M10bob is right. At age 16 right after I got my drivers license I t-boned a car with a 61 Plymouth Belvedere. Totaled it. Very little damage to my car.

What’s the brand of car at minute 10:30? It’s a cute l’il bug looking foreign job the 1959 Dodge Patrol,car is passing parked by the curb? In a world full of big ol fun tailed American iron this one just popped out at me cus it looked out of place in the US - at that time....

Silly to whine and pine for nostalgia. This all a one way ride, you no different from nobody else. Even a Cockroach don't want to die.I like seeing Dan sweat out the Sauce he's been nipping at whilst on the Set. Hard working Actor and true to his time.

@@owseichik Not many people know those 406. We generally mention 272, 292, 312, 332, 352, 390, 427 for Ford engines in those years, NOT 406's. You know your Ford's.
