The reason why men inherit double that of women isn’t due to gender inequality-but rather due to the fact that the inheritance of man, along with his wealth, will be spent on the womenfolk in his household and his family, since that’s his responsibility. The share of a man is not his, whilst the share of the women is completely hers. That’s what the sheikh should’ve said-because I felt as tho he didn’t really explain the verse itself but tried to work around it, and Allāh knows best.

I saw a clip on Instagram and it looked like it wasn't what the title suggested so I came back to check it out and it was actually good! I think the title is misleading, but hopefully it attracts those brothers (and sometimes sisters) who are obsessed with these "Man DESTROYS hijabi woman feminist liberal..." videos and knock some sense and REAL masculinity into them

@EverythingAndroid Ois the ultimate role model for masculinity, which is the Prophet Muhammad SAW.A lot of the videos I have seen on such topics is just these men trying to be this "alpha male" and yelling and degrading women under the guise of "this is Islam!" The Prophet SAW was gentle, emotionally intelligent, and his character was not like a lot of these argumentative guys. It's sad, honestly. We all know men and women have different roles in society and in the household, but the way of delivery is horrible

@@attas8790 I understand what you are saying, maybe you are referring to Mahdi Tjidandi. But there are others who are making clear gender roles who are men, and they are doing it well while acknowledging kindness, care, and sacrifice from both sides, while maintaining obedience of the husband and fulfilling other rights that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stressed. These individuals like Daniel Haqiqatjou and Mohammed Hijab I would say. You should definitely give Daniel a watch on these topics, anyway Assalamualaykum, hope this was beneficial.

As a woman, this was not helpful at all. And it is definitely not helpful for young Muslim men in the West. The video made it seem like Islamic principles are in accordance to liberal values on "equality" but that is simply false. Men have authority over women and one of the reasons is that they are responsible for their family's well-being and security. Why are we watering this down by saying men and women have equal value in front of Allah? That goes without saying and does not need to be repeated. What does need to be repeated is that wives must respect and obey their husbands. This conjures up images of a tyrannical husband with a doormat wife only because we have been fed the Western, liberal worldview. Reality is far more nuanced. If Andrew Tate's popularity has taught me anything, it is that men are sick of being told they are domineering and toxic for not giving in to women's demands for "equality".

Japan is not a racist place as far as I have seen, they are understanding of Muslim people and even have many halal places in colleges I have heard. Try your best to wear it and please Allah, even if you displease some people. That’s such a good question…I’m a hijabi in Canada, and I was afraid to put it on because I went to a mostly white populated school where no one wore the hijab. My school rules state that no discrimination/hateful attacks can be made against another for their beliefs/ethnicity/race, e.t.c. I’m not sure about your region and your country’s regulations though. Are you able to seek protection in any way? Maybe someone could protect you? Maybe your friends would support your choice to wear it and they’ll protect you? Protection is a pretty big aspect because I know it hurts to be discriminated against for your beliefs.

In most cases they makes the false impression of islamic rules and use them as a weapon to women. This video really helped to understand the facts in a better way as it is scenario based. Waiting for the next episodes! Really enjoyed!

A very useful video since even today muslim men are rude to women when attending mosques for prayers, as if they dont belong. How does that even make sense if we honour the Spirit of Islamic teachings. Maybe shed some light on 2 women to 1 man as witnesses also. The more truth we have on gender equality in Islam the better off we’ll all be in everyday life. May Allah swt guide us all.

One point of small criticism... Great episode but the Professor's balanced answer was slightly incomplete. He did not mention that when there is a conflict, the husband is the final decision-maker( wife obeys) in family matters as long as he upholds financial security.

Also the skit ignored that the woman made an incorrect statement that painted patriarchy as bad, when that is the norm of the entire world. Islam is patriarchal, and every nation to have ever succeeded was a patriarchy at its start. When nations make women the leaders they almost always go into a decline, we can see this in the west right now. Men have rights just like women do, and we get unfairly sidelined in these discussions because its not politically correct.

Imo,men need women and women need men. Imagine.. who would be your mother? who would help and guide you? Who would teach you to be kind and soft?. And who would provide for you? who would teach you about most of things? Who would be your father? who would encourage you? Who would teach you to be tough and strong? this is the pov of a child. Who would bring groceries? who would teach your son to be tough and strong? Who would give u money if u need it? Who would drive you to your friends house? Who would bring you to your family,mother,sister,brother and father? Who would comfort you when your stressed? Who would help you with housework? this is the pov of a mother. Who would comfort you? who would do the housework when your tired? Who would let you rest? Who would cook you food? Who would clean the bathroom for you? Who would be willing to sit with you? Who would just talk to you? Who would laugh at your jokes? who would smile with you? Who would buy clothes for you? this is the pov of a man. needless to say,women and men need each other. that is my answer,this debate has gone on for to long. (muslim speaking)

some things to share: (1) regarding roles of men and women. the Quran has established clearly that men and women are EQUAL in the eyes of Allah. only the ROLES are different. men cannot give birth , can they? in the same way, Allah created man and jin to have roles in this EARTH while the angels have their roles in the heaven. What reaches Allah whether it is mankind, jin and angel is the PIETY. so let's stop this men vs women thing! Allah is Al hakeem all wise, He created the heaven and earth with due portions so let's not question that. (2) the ayah in Quran regarding men have 1 degree above women is referring to responsibilities. in another ayah, men is said to be the QAWAMAH or maintainer of women. Before the coming of islam, the companions used to have more than 4 wives, but with coming of islam, the deen of islam emphasized the rights of women and restrict to a maximum of just 4 wives. But if a men cannot be just, the quran emphasized to just marry one . (3) the inheritance as to why men has twice the share of women is because he has to take care of the womenfolk. for example in a family if a father passed away, the male child will have to provide and look after his sister(s). so that twice inheritance he received is not for himself alone, part of it will have to go towards maintaining the sister. I think this video needs to make that clear. it can create confusion. be careful!!

Nice film, very well made! Unfortunately the title defeats the purpose of the message, by labelling a Muslim sister with curiosity and valid points a 'feminist' and the young man who equally argues back the 'Muslim'. I guess I can understand how many KZitem video titles must carry a controversial tone to attract viewers, but as Muslims we cannot entertain the algorithm via labelling and stereotyping. We shouldn't scare away Muslim sisters from asking questions by threatening to call them 'feminists' and 'modern' women.

Do not listen to these compassionate imams regarding our deen. The first thing wrong about this video is ikhtilat. Even in the masjid praying in the last row for the man is considered the worst because it’s closer to the women in the back. When the imam makes a mistake in recitation women are not supposed to correct him they can Only clap. This is in the house of Allah. How about everywhere else ?. Check out original redpill for authentic teachings of Islam regarding intersexual dynamics.

@OnePath Network Allahumma barak really enjoyed the message of this video especially given the current climate. However I would recommend changing the title of this so that you can reach a wider audience. The video and script were well made and very balanced however the title comes off as outing a muslim sister and could be taken as offensive on face value. Perhaps change the title to “Islam a balance solution to todays gender issues”

In that case, one question arises, if me and my brother share the financial responsibilities together then I can demand equal portion of inheritance or not?
@everythingandroidois

No, these are laws set by Allah. Watch Daniel Haqiqtjou on issues of gender roles and the reasoning for it leading to stronger families that will lead to a stronger society, divorce and the breaking down of families is something the west and those around the world are suffering from at high rates due to adopting liberalism; Islam is not a feminist manifesto, but a way of life with gender roles and responsibilities for the success and sustainability of the family and society as a whole which starts with families, not liberal independence. Assalamualaykum.

@@everythingandroidois bringing divorce, Feminism in here is irrelevant to what I asked. If I am not dependent on my brother or anyone for my expenses I am bearing it on my own, isn't that unfair to me if I get only half of the share?
@copeharder1379
Жыл бұрын
@@donttalktome365days great question. The answer is NO! Because in Islam we have gender roles assigned by creator, men are the protector, leader & provider. While women is Care taker, nourisher & important role that men can't do is "Motherhood". It's men's duty to provide, even if you have career your money is yours while his for family since his duty to provide. You have choice men don't. So same for the inheritance, men have twice because his will be for his family like womenfolk & his heirs, while yours will be only yours. It's your husband duty to provide incase you get married. So that make sense. I hope I cleared your doubt.
@donttalktome365days
Жыл бұрын
@@copeharder1379 Those roles assigned to women aren't even mandatory or anything. Those were just social norms at that time. Taking care isn't mandatory, nourisher or whatever not everyone feels like to do it, and about motherhood ,having child isn't even mandatory. So it's better if we don't talk about the gender roles. This is like imposing stuffs when Those stuffs aren't even mandatory in islam. And what if I am not married or my husband died in that case I am paying for my expenses, still I get half of the share?? And u people think that's just?
@shmnl_af1993

You get half of what your Brother gets, And he has to pay for your expenses. If he doesn’t, he has to answer Allah. You can still have the one third untouched if he pays, This is Just and such is the decree of Allah. Your financial responsibility is Zero and you get one third of what your family leaves, think about your brother who has to give you a share even though he has to take responsibility. It is for the believers, that when a Matter comes from Allah and his messenger to only say: “we hear and we obey”. Allah is your creator. He knows what is best for you. These notion that you have when thinking about “social norms of that time”. The Prophets wife RA was a Business Woman, there were women who owned welding shops through slaves etc, So Allah and his messenger is very well aware of all the period in the history and future. Islam is Timeless. To say that these are old laws and doesn’t fit may take you out if the folds of Islam. Who is Just more than Your Lord the most generous? Repent ان شاء الله .
