Certainly a different experience hiking with a larger group! I myself am mainly solo hiking and I really felt that when you mentionned you push for longer harder days while having less of a camp life, but it holds its own uniqueness and beauty to it especially when I am recording my footage. It does look like a nice change of pace and the camp life looks fantastic for the group aspect, but I would have trouble as I really enjoy the push, the challenge and just love setting my own standard for speed, breaks, camps, start time etc. If I am not solo hiking I get my girlfriend and son out for nice slower days, but I dont quite have any hikers in my local friend group currently to have the group hiking as an option.. Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves and perhaps we'll cross paths on the trail someday! Happy Hiking 🥾

Is there any specific way different sized groups of people should deal with bear encounters? It seems like not a big deal to ward off nearby bears when there are several people around but what about one or two people? I was told you should be as loud and act as crazy as possible, tossing small objects towards them. Does this differ with varied species, too?

@@solodagci that’s what I’m saying. Kraig has a much smaller backpack and does well. Most other people in this group are carrying so much stuff to keep them comfy in the camp, but at the same time it’s so awkward and heavy that it seems like it has a negative impact. I feel like Kraig shows that you don’t really need all that stuff, and the trip is not even that incredibly long
