In this video we share with you a hiking route through Santa Brígida, specifically through the Alonso ravine.
The route starts at Lomo Espino, then we descend to the Merdejo ravine, walk along the Alonso ravine and reach the centenary dragon tree of Pino Santo.
It is a circular route for intermediate level, although with several stops it could be done by anyone who is just starting out in hiking.
This walk along the Alonso ravine is about 8.6 kilometres long and takes about 2 hours to complete. It has an elevation gain of about 340 metres, so there are several points where you will have to ascend and descend on slightly steep paths.
At the end of the route we recommend you stop for lunch at Bochinche Bodega La Montaña, one of the few bochinches in Gran Canaria. Please note that it is open from November to April/May and we recommend that you book before you go.
