Mount Townsend lies in the Buckhorn Wilderness on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Mount Townsend stands at 6,280 ft tall and can be hiked year-round. Mount Townsend offers stunning views of neighboring Olympic peaks (The Brothers, Mount Mystery, Greywolf to name a few) as well as views north to the San Juan Islands, Mount Baker and even the peaks in Canada. Look east across the sound to the Cascades where you'll find breath taking views of Mt Rainier, Mt Adams, and Mt St. Helens. Needless to say, Mount Townsend offers some incredible views that's totally worth the effort.
