The 8th stage of the Ireland Way is called the “Suck Valley Way” and goes from the village of Ballygar to Loughglynn, 48.6 kilometers long. Along the way, I camped in a farmers field just north of Castlerea where it rained all night. The reason it’s called the Suck Valley Way is because it follows the River Suck through Ireland.
