Just for clarification, this was filmed April 2nd 2023. I never got around to editing it but held onto the raw footage. I haven't been able to get out on the trail much this this year - poor weather, sickness, work, etc... - so i cobbled the raw footage together and put this video together to get some content out there to you guys. I lost a few clips in my timeline but here it is anyway, hope you enjoy....

Some super beautiful views... man that little stream sure was sweet (would it hold trout). I love the sound of that train... there's just something about it. I was just outside, it's wet, cold and kind of muddy. I know that was filmed earlier, but boy was it nice to see... Great work Walter... A pleasure to watch... Thanks, Jim ✌️

Appreciate that Jim thanks a lot. Warmer days are coming.... I do enjoy trains myself I would like to add a bit more train related content in the future. Not sure about trout in that stream I think it may be a seasonal stream that runs really low or even dry in the summer....

I actually had to watch the beginning again just to make sure I understood when this was being filmed. It’s good sometimes when you have old footage hanging around for when the unexpected comes up and you can’t get out doors. I have not been here yet. It seems like a nice hike. When you were walking by the stream and stepping on the leaves I was thinking that there were probably snakes underneath. Then you saw the garter snake. At least it wasn’t a rattler. 👍

Yes this was nice to have some material to work with. As I recall I had started editing this a long time ago but I wasn't really feeling it, I thought it was a bit dull which is why I abandoned the project. I still think it's not one of my better ones, but I guess every hike isn't going to be hike of the year status...

I don't need any help getting excited for Spring, but you've made a lightbulb go on that before the trees leaf out some views are opened up that you can't otherwise enjoy. When you warn about getting lost, I think you're talking to me!🤭 Thanks for all you do. Wonderful episode! Peace & Prayers.

It's one of the huge advantages of winter season that you get so many more unobstructed views. That and no bugs I would say is another big bonus. This hike I would have never been able to follow without the app, lol.

I haven't even been to Kings Gap, but it looks like it would be a good place for our family to hike. I liked how you combined a lot of trails to make one big circuit. Also enjoyed that lookout where you can see and hear that freight train off in the distance.

It's a good spot to put on the list. In addition to the trails there is a huge historic mansion on top of the mountain with grounds and views worth a video in itself.

This gets me excited for spring! We haven’t done much recently either, but really looking to get out soon. Nice to see some spring vibes, even if it’s just on the TV. Seems like a nice place, one I may look at visiting in the future, thanks for sharing!

Its worth filming for sure, you could spend a half day to whole day there. There's a really neat historic mansion at the top of a mountain in the park with views and grounds to explore, that place is worth a video in its own right. I'm not excited for spring, I'm still waiting for winter to arrive 🙎🏻

Really enjoy your videos, Walter. I found your channel recently and have been catching up on your adventures. My wife and I are from Pittsburgh, and have hiked a lot of western PA. We moved to Delaware a couple of years ago, and your videos have given us a lot of destinations to explore on the eastern side of PA. If you haven't been, try the Laurel Highlands region of Pennsylvania, south and east of Pittsburgh. Forbes State Forest, Ohiopyle State Park, and Mt. Davis (PA's tallest mountain) are just a few gems to explore in southwestern Pennsylvania. Anyway, keep making great content. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for those wonderful words, it means alot to me to receive that kind of feedback. And thanks for some tips on the Laurel Highlands. I was in Ohiopyle 5 years ago and loved it It's a long ways for me to get out to that part of the state, but I hope to be returning soon in the near future.
