Hey Shug, I’m a little late on this one so I hope you still see it. I found your channel when I was probably 15 years old and getting started hammock camping. I went often and used so much of what I learned from your videos. I’m 28 now with 2 little boys and a career. I haven’t gotten a chance to hang in a few years. One day I’ll start taking them when they are old enough and pass on what you taught me. I come back to your videos often partially because they remind me of a simpler time in my life. Just want to say thank you and show some appreciation for helping make some of my memories better.

White Noise contains all the audible frequencies available, Shugemery Noise on the other hand is adapted to the known frequencies but is often detected in Black Holes Millions of light years away, this constant vocal vibration is a potential communicating element found beyond our known Universe, and NASA agrees that it began with the first primitive humans dwelling in Hammocks.( Who potentially contacted Extraterrestrial Life) You should be PROUD ! Cheers!!

Way more simple to set up that at first glance. Just follow the directions and choose the proper stake for soil conditions. Great info on the Tensa site.

What do you think of this on-paper setup? I've been researching a lot (mostly your videos, hammock forums and product specs). Bit expansive so I'll be treating myself with it for doing good at work this year, if I go for it. - Superior Starlite and shelter, Elite - Trekking Treez, for those tree-less camps - Exped ultra Duo 3R as a pad, windbreaker and first layer of insulation - For winter, a superior quilt of course - A snake skin, still looking into 'em - The schnozzle bag that comes with the Exped pad, it's a pump bag, dry bag, and compression sack! Fold the bulk of the setup, pad included, into 3 (prioritize pad folding). Pull snake skin over to secure the fold, unhook from suspension/Treez and roll it up towards the other suspension. Stuff roll into the schnozzle bag. Close and compress. Shelter is rolled while on Ridgeline for quick deployment then stuffed top-first into its own bag, with cords going out and already attached to Peggy pegs (for shelter and Treez). Secure those along with suspension to a pocket on the outside of the shelter stuff bag. Treez extensions could go in that pocket as well. Goals are dry storage, modularity, all weather performance, maximizing comfort and minimizing volume while not carrying too much weight.

When you get into hammocks you have to make some decisions. Since it is such a modular set-up, things tend to change as you progress. If you feel good about your choices then hammock on! All hammocks differ a bit.

@@shugemery thanks! It's actually based on my current setup, so I'm not going completely on the blind. It's more of a refinement towards an end-game kind of thing. But of course, end games don't exist since needs change over time and cool new gear comes out often. (I'm admittedly a gear-head, lol) Therefore, I agree with modularity being king. I'll start with switching the hammock, shelter, and pad. Treez, quilt, whoops and whistles will be purchased down the road as I continue refining, but considered from the start since volume and those little details are key, like the tensa requiring continuous loops or the pegs being useful for both tarp and Treez.

Nice video, glad to see you on that unicycle again! The Tensa Trekking Tree looks great. I have the NoGround poles from Raftintigger, the Tensa 4, and the Tensa Solo, but somehow I still feel like I'm missing out on something, gotta have those Trekking Treez now ...man, this is a disease. I took the Tensa Solo on a hike in Greece a few weeks ago and I was very happy to have it, but it is a bit heavy, so it's dead weight on my back until I get to camp and put it to use. Great vid BTW!
