After weeks of miserable weather we finally got a weekend with a reasonable forcast so I decided to head to Ribblehead viaduct to do a circular hike around Whernside, the 2nd peak on the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge. While the weather was nice it was very windy on the peak making walking difficult.
The Ribblehead Viaduct is an impressive man made structure that towers over Batty Moss in the Ribble Valley at Ribblehead, in North Yorkshire, England opened in 1875, the 440-yard-long 24 arched Ribblehead Viaduct is the most magnificent structure on the settle-carlisle railway.
