Aloha! If you've always wondered what's behind the double doors at the end of the hotel hallway... here you go!
We stayed in room 4248 for one night in 2021.
Previously, in 2014, we stay in room 3248, which is nearly identical:
• Hilton Waikoloa Villag...
Since 2014, though, Hilton has upgrade some (but not all) of the room features.
The Hilton Waikoloa Village calls this a "one-bedroom suite" in the Palace Tower. It's 1,060 sq. ft., with a king bed. Rooms just like this one can also be outfitted with two or three double beds for a large family.
Key features: a separate living area, a dining table, and a very large bathroom. The best feature of this room, in our experience, is that it has five balconies. Five!
The hotel website says these suites have "Garden, Golf, Mountain, or Ocean Views which vary by individual suite. Specific view requests are not guaranteed."
Room 4248 has a combination of all those views, depending on which balcony you're using at that moment. That variety is a huge plus if you want to limit your sun exposure (which we did).
As you will see in the video, we were quite pleased with the room -- but not at all pleased with the Hilton HHonors breakfast benefit. You might need to speak up about it. Also make sure, when you're booking, that you factor in the full cost of the daily parking fee and the daily resort fee. They're absurdly astronomical -- and can really burst your budget.
Aloha!
