Instead of paper, if I use textile, I wonder what's the outcome. Something like smocking perhaps but more astonishing.

Hi there, this is the first video that I have seen if you. I was wondering, could you send me a link to how you first started from the beginning of the folded pattern that you started with in this post please? I would really love to be able to start from the beginning and make some of these awesome patterns that you make. I might sound as tho I haven’t a clue what I’m taking about. Well you would be right as I’m literary only just starting out on wanting to learn origami and this type of art that involves folding paper that makes some amazing 3D Patterns. I would eventually be looking to do a pattern on a larger scale so that I can actually use it as a wall art Installation for my bare and boring walks in my house. Thank you for Sharing your amazing talents. Keep up the good work.

how many squares is the big one?
@garibiilan
9 жыл бұрын
Joep Hamers every molecule is 5 by 5. we have 4 in a row, that asks for 20, plus two squares at each edge - we get 24 by 24.

What is the ideal paper for this? Is Tant good enough, or something like elephant hide is required?
@garibiilan
9 жыл бұрын
+EMPeter Hi, i think Tant may be a little too soft, but it is doable with it. since you asked for the ideal paper, for sure Elephant Hide is the answer.
@EMPeter

+ilan garibi I think I'll do it with both of them (if I have the time and the patience) just to see the effects of choosing the right paper for myself.

What size of paper have you used?

try 40 cm, and if it is too difficult, try 50 cm, for a 4x4 project.
