Off went the stock exhaust system and on goes the Hindle Evo Megaphone for the Ninja 400. Threw on a Vortex keyless gas cap for good measure and drilled out the OEM steering stops for the K-Tech damper unit. Ran into some missing gaskets, a stripped exhaust head stud, and a poorly cut airbox, and I MEAN POORLY CUT. Sometimes you don't know what you really bought until you start taking it apart. This might be the start of the downfall of building the 400!

At this point I think the bike is starting to turn into a full fledge race build minus the little hiccups along the way. It's a great learning experience to know the machine you want to race inside and out. Take it as an opportunity to right the issues before sending it into a corner.
