The 1st Documentary Film on Legendary Hindu College (Delhi University), Written and Produced by Deepak Singh, during the Centenary Celebrations of the College in 1999, as a student of the College. The Film was Premiered on 17th February 1999 as part of the celebrations, launched by the then Prime Minister of India, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee.
The Film traces the roots, history and growth of the College, all along the Indian National Movement and in the Independent India and, tries to recreate history through the memories of former students. The College was a part as well product of the Nationalist Education Movement which gave India three institutions - Hindu College, Banaras Hindu University and, Calcutta Hindu College (now Presidency College)
The Film was later aired multiple times on Doordarshan.
An amateur initiative by Deepak as a budding filmmaker, the effort got whole-hearted support from a number of former students, including Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj who along with his wife and another Hinduite Mrs. Rekha Bhardwaj, gave the song "Hindu Mera Dil Hai Tu" to the film; while another Hinduite (filmmaker, anchor) Mr Roshan Abbas lent his voice.
Deepak Singh is now a filmmaker and a mediaperson and owns UV Group of Companies and Young Turks Media.
