Another recommendation: The live version of The Haunting with Simone Simons from Epica, who is another band that's being mentioned a ton in previous comments. To be fair, I'm pretty sure there's one person who uses multiple account to spam every video asking for Epica. That said, spamming aside I do think he should check out Epica because they are great.

Welcome to "power metal". Some will toss around the term "symphonic metal" since many of the artists will incorporate a strings sound into many of the songs. Kamelot is a solid introduction to it and "Ghost Opera" is a decent choice. Glad you enjoyed it. The vocalist, Roy Khan, has a great voice but, hasn't been with the group for several releases now. For more with him, check out either "March of Mephisto" or "The Haunting" from their Black Halo release. The latter has guest vocals by Simone Simons who's the singer for Epica, which some have been requesting you react to. Their choices are good but, I would request "The Second Stone", particularly the "Pukkelpop 2014 Aftermovie" video. Good live footage coupled with rocking studio track. If you want to lose yourself in a story for an hour or three, give or take, grab copies of Savatage's "Dead Winter Dead", "The Wake of Magellan" and "Streets". Listening to individual songs is great of course but, those three you should at least once listen to from 1st to last track and have the background story on hand. Savatage is the band that went on hiatus to form Trans-Siberian Orchestra after the popularity of the song "Christmas Eve Sarajevo" from Dead Winter Dead sparked the idea. And last but certainly not least ... Byzantine, "New Ways to Bear Witness"! Pretty please?

I love KAMELOT with a huge tattoo of them to prove it lol so... I show you my appreciation because you were so open minded about their music. Thanks for that. It's refreshing to hear positive stuff nowadays espcially facing a new experience coming from other (musical in this cse) background. Kudos mate!

Fuck yes! So happy that you got around to listening to Kamelot finally. Now lets continue that journey with more! I'm going to second what others are saying in that lets see some Nightwish - Ghost Love Score, Kamelot - Liar Liar, Sabaton - Ghost Division, Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica, Epica, and Symphony X (Paradise Lost, Nevermore, etc)!

This was literally my exact reaction when I first saw this video and was introduced into Kamelot back in 2007. Been a huge fan ever since.

This was actually my first introduction to Kamelot to like 10 years ago! Love Ghost Opera! Roy has such a stand out voice. I love the new signer Tommy as well. I love seeing people enjoying the music I love! Listen to Blind and Frozen by Beast in Black. Great song and se if you are just as surprised as I was when I heard the band for the first time.

If you like strings and high tones in metal you must react to Epica-Cry for the moon. Btw check the video they made in the studio...

Looking at the comments it definitely looks like Epica is next on the list, or at least should be by viewer demand, however later down the line I would love to see you do "Heaven Shall Burn - Counterweight" or even "Black Tears" He has this very articulated voice which makes his screams much easier to understand (although you will still probably need the lyrics pulled up) but they are a pretty dope ass band from Germany that I feel don't get much attention from reaction videos! Have a great day Alex

As for other symphonic metal bands..... definitely DELAIN is a must. I fell in love with them when I saw them in concert with Kamelot back in April of this year. Got their autos and photo-op as well. Actually posed with both bands at the same time, what a moment that was.

Roy Khan - the singer you're listening to, - bumped up the quality of the band when he joined. He has a background of operatic singing, and chose to forgo his Opera singing career to be with Kamelot. Unfortunately, he over-worked himself (writing songs, singing, touring, etc.) and had to drop from the band to take care of his health. The Roy Khan era of Kamelot is some of the most amazing stuff you'll hear in their catalog.

Kamelot is one of my absolute favorite bands and this was one of the songs that got me into them. I bought the Ghost Opera CD on a whim, loved it, and I've never looked back. Kamelot is amazing. Something else is that Kamelot makes me consider the direction that Queensryche should have gone in but didn't. Roy Khan even reminds me a bit of Geoff Tate in this video.

I love Roy Khan's voice and his perfomances, so I can´t be objetive and I would like see more reacted about it. It can be with Kamelot or Conception.
