I recently had several conversations with a recruiter I believe works for this company. I was very excited to come aboard and run food grade waste water. Then I found out the medical insurance for my wife, daughter and myself would be $375 a week. I would have to work 15 hours a week just to pay for medical insurance. I currently pay $113 a week for medical insurance. I also carry dental, vision, short term disability, life, spousal life and have a 401k with match. Imagine what all of those insurances would cost. I would love to work hard to help a small company but I have to put myself / family first.

Good companies don't need to hire drivers. They treat them well and retain them. What is the turnaround rate at this company? Let's say there is a driver shortage. Where would you park all of those trucks? Every truck stop in America is full by 2 pm. Putting 18 yo behind the wheel and crossing state lines is a stupid stupid idea.

When I was OTR my biggest challenge was trying to find a place to sleep. I would quit with plenty of time remaining on my clock if I saw an open legal parking spot. They need to expand existing rest areas, build new ones, allow shoulder parking on ramps, build more truck stops, let trucks park in empty parking lots, etc. I would sleep in front of "no parking" signs. Take the damn signs down. Put up signs saying where you can park. States that allow ramp parking should have signs at the border saying so. Often at truck stops if there is a spot left it's too difficult for a newbie to get into especially in the dark after driving all day. I would have been way more productive if I didn't have to worry about parking.

The main cause of the delays is the fact t hat the government won't let the container ships dock and unload due to covid. second cause is they only want to pay $20 dollars an hour. Which in the truckin industry, is poverty wages.

This job didn’t start becoming a garbage can yesterday , This has been going on for yrs . You have no life , None ! You hear these guys admit this in the video, All they care about is their freight and how fast it can be delivered , So the driver can go onto the next pickup. That’s all these greedy companies care about. Oh you’ve got your sucker drivers that play into this , But you’ve got just as many that walk away too . This job is not appealing and I assure you , It’s no life .
