I used to have a hoard of boxes (not Apple though). All different sizes. When my husband and I started working on decluttering together, I let go of a bunch, and only saved a few. And they're in the shed in a tote marked "boxes and bubble wrap". When giving someone a gift that would be best wrapped in a box, I wrap the box in wrapping paper in a way that the person doesn't need to tear the paper. So they don't see the box and think that that's what's inside.

I honestly think this was the best transformation you have made by FAR! (And you literally always nail it 100%, so it says a lot) It looks absolutely incredible!! I really got goosebumps several times throughout. I really loved how Derek's room turned out. So clean and simple but _so_ pretty at the same time! Moving the bed over a bit from the corner and placing the night table there seems like such an obvious thing that makes total sense but I have never ever thought of it. It is impractical in my current room, but once I move I can DEFINITELY see myself doing this as I really love having room on both sides of my bed!! And do I even need to mention the skincare room? IT LOOKS AMAZING!! It really does look like an actual store :') You were absolutely right (as always) about moving the skincare shelves to the other wall so they're the first thing you see. Another thing that seems so simple yet I've never thought about and will _definitely_ take that with me too!!

Tip, if you are at the point where you know the apple product is 100% going to stay in your life and you feel the need to keep the box but have no real use for it, take out the insides and use the box its self as a box to sort and keep cords, cases for phones, air pods, ipads, ect. Kind of an off-topic question, but I was wondering if, living in South Korea, which is notorious for "looks-ism," do you feel any pressure from people or do you get shade from people for not wearing makeup, or styling your hair, and wearing comfortable, casual clothing, instead of "dressing up" when you leave the house? Just curious, as someone with that same, super casual style. Do people there look down on you because you don't try to be stylish, made-up, or fashionable?
@SpaceMakerMethod
3 жыл бұрын
Haha well I mean if I’m really going out in public I will get ready. But for makeover days, it’s a workout and I’m more comfortable wearing this and not doing makeup because usually I’m commuting on a subway for 2.5 and don’t want to break out my skin. But really I just don’t care. I’m aware that others dress nice, but I’m a foreign and I stick out because I’m white.🤣 there is tho a Korean word that means something like, if you’re a foreigner you can where anything and call it fashion. Kind of like Justin Bieber looks grungy all the time but makes it cool. Same here.🤣
@ohPokey
3 жыл бұрын
Eunice’s husband now has to go all the way into her makeup room to get his items, which might perturb her when she’s busy in there. If you put his little dresser by the door he will have easier access plus you’d have much more “elbow room” upon entering. The bags of boxes should go elsewhere, like get rid of them or store somewhere else, they take up prime space on his little dresser.
@SpaceMakerMethod
3 жыл бұрын
They were really happy with eerything and we still may move the dresser once we work in the bedroom. He's fine with going in there and having space for his stuff. We chose to put the small one down there because we neeeded to store things on top of it and it was more hidden in that spot. The empty boxes were recycled and the bag of empty bottles and bags are for Eunice's job, she needs to keep them.

Oh, and the rotten Apple device boxes! Why must they make them so solid and beautiful? I have never needed any of mine - they send you a special box if you need to send in a repair and I always keep my stuff so long and when I trade them in they specifically don’t want the box. But I had trouble figuring out if the boxes were really even recyclable here. Are they paper? Plastic? A mixture? They were so hard to break down and it felt like such a waste. It makes me mad, especially because they claim they’re eco conscious.

Im not sure why but ive noticed that koreans tend to use their “guestroom” space as a dress room. And their bedroom would only have their bed, nightstand, maybe a small desk or tv stand etc.
@SpaceMakerMethod
3 жыл бұрын
Of yea for sure! But this is usually only in apartments with couples who don't need the space for children. A lot of the times they do that because the bedroom is too small (however Eunice and them have a large on) and many Koreans use floor beds or mats that take of the entire space of the room. I know in our last apartment too, we opted to pay more every month to have an actual closet in our room but other floor plans had no closet so they had to either add a warddrobe if they had space or use a room as a closet.... which is sometimes necessary when you have all these bulky winter coats for the cold seasons. It's def a challenge!
