I understand my nother passed by suicide. I learned not to blame her she wasn't being selfish she just couldn't handle her problems. I try to be proud every time I remember the moments worth hard and I'm proud I'm her son and be proud of your dad. Be proud you're his son. Please take care of yourself

Deeply moving, I appreciate Jim’s openness, in sharing his story and journey. So sorry about the loss of his father. 🥀I lost my dad sadly to an overdose. Recently I lost my beloved adopted mom right before Christmas. After her battle since having a mass stroke, it’s been incredibly difficult, like the world is darker and apart of me has died with her 😥💔😥 You’re very right Paula there is no end to grief it’s on going. I don’t know if I’ll ever get through this loss I’m so heartbroken and it’s a pain I can’t describe having to realize I can’t call my adopted mom anymore, or see her, gain another warm hug. 🥺💔😰 It truly hurts, and is still unreal, thank you again Paula for what you do here with your platform and trying to bring and shed light to the darkness a lot of us have. 💛Jim is right there is and are deep wells of sorrow and I lately am struggling to be here, alive. 😔

sorry for your multiple losses, dear. Try to remember that grief is an expression of your capacity to love, so in a way, it's something to be cherished. You can't grieve if you can't love.
