I think that is the point the 55” appears to be different tv and should have its own model number. Sony pulled this type of garbage before having some sizes be ids and some sizes be VA panels under the same model name.

I think you should revisit. What i noticed is that clearly the U8N 75 has better specs than the smaller models. i tested mine a 3500 nits and no posterization. a fantastic tv so far. I keep reading horror stories on the smaller model. So i would say 75 inch go and under no go but i agree that hisense should not do that. this is bad pr.

Several reviewers have stated the 55 performs differently compared to the other sizes .. try getting a 65 inch or higher and review that. I was also looking forward to buying the u8n 55 inch since it's the maximum size for me but hisense has failed to deliver uniform performance within it's TV sizes and even across regions , same TV will perform differently in Europe, North America n Asia...

Any chance you can show an example posterazation with footage from any of the playoff hockey games thats on tv every night. I haven't watched all of the videos you have posted on this year's U8N, but the ones I have watched you only show examples of posteurization with anime and cartoons. I'd like to see if the U8N panel still does it with regular content like sports or movies (not animated ones please) I would like to see how it handles fast motion and if anything looks unnatural on areas where there's the ice and players and if the players uniforms are bleeding (blooming?) against the white backdrop.

I bought and currently own the 75U8N (2000USD.... yikes) and I have to say I agree with you. I really didn't know that the 55 inch would be this big of a difference in cost cutting. If they made the 55 this bad they shouldn't have made it at all. They should have just stuck with the larger sizes, or at least been more forthcoming with how they presented the 55 inch version. In another video I prematurely called you out for the stand because I was even under the impression that the 55 would share the same center stand as the 65 and 75 without researching, but it seems like this 55 is just a whole different model with the same "U8N" name but without any of the performance that was marketed. Not to say I regret my purchase, because the picture quality, motion handling, and AI feature are amazing, but to be truthful its a bit scummy to see Hisense start doing this sort of mis-marketing. (also, I dirty deleted my comment on your other video because I realized I was flat-out wrong and didn't want to potentially drive people to agreeing with my wrongness)

I watched a review for the 55 inch u7n last night. Hisense claims 1500 nits, and the reviewer got 2100 nits. You ever considered you just got a bad unit? I also saw one for the 65 u8n, and they got over 3500 nits. A lot of the issues you found with this unit, they didn’t have, so idk.

5:47 wow, like I said, I noticed during the CES this year they kinda came out with a soft presentation, big words, but with a lot of lack luster enthusiasm, I could go back and watch the presentation again and most likely think the same thing. When I saw TCL presentation rehab more of an entertainment aspect toward their advertising and also really loved the Austrian guy that they kind of let go off the rails every now and then, he sounded like he nerdy version of Arnold Schwarzenegger, quite entertaining. Yeah, I think high sense this year fumbled the ball for sure.

Is it possible that your panel didnt have the latest software update???? Maybe its JUST an Early panel. Okay this is what happend to MY U8G okay. THAT year U8G had EXACTLY same issue as U8N. The MOST SEVER Pasteurization. Its funny cuz I bought it when the Firmware was not out or maybe out only for copule weeks. . But TV could NOT find it even run TV software update scan!!!! I ALMOST returned it, it looked DISGUSTING!🤮so much worse. It was like all image look like that. Then like i think 2nd or 3rd day owning it the Firmware came out. Then seem like online others who own the set didnt have issue. Some ealry models didnt get updated or something. Scanning the tv wouldn’t offer any solution. I had to finally FIND the TYCON update with a plug. It transformed like snappy ever since. Maybe its just an EArly model didnt set up properly!????? Before they Packaged up? I am suggeting this cuz THIS HAPPENED to my U8G. I HAD like 10X WORSE Pesterization . ENTIRE TV screen was like that. It look like CANCER on tv. 😮 i would have returned it if i didnt find that TYCON update.
