It is good to see what was happening across Europe during specific time periods. We study important events and the reign of important historical figures without considering what wa happening in other parts of Europe. It is eye opening to associate important events happening at about the same time.

Just a note, it is generally believed that Catherine II of Russia did not murder her husband, and that instead his death was either the planned or merely accidental work of some of the Orlov brothers, whom Catherine had heavily relied on during the Coup and despised her husband Peter III. It would be safer and more historically accurate to just say: "Catherine II launches successful coup in Russia forcing her husband to abdicate, or something along those lines! Also some representation of the Pugachev revolt would also be great. Other than that, truly amazing video, well done!

The positive side of graphics, for want of one point about Mary Tudor! A famous Queen of Scots who should have been included in the abstract. Given she was married to The King of Spain & had other connections, the question is, why did not. France, 'Sweden' & Spain rescue her when she was arrested by Elisabeth I? In that, France & Spain together could force England to let her go free.

Anthony George I believe you are confused with Mary I, who was married to the King of Spain. Mary Queen of Scots was married to the King of France.

Perhaps; this may have been about how she was detained by Elizabeth I? Indeed I thought it was odd she had no allies. Then you may have had a point, I could have muddled her with the other monarch.

Such graphic manipulation, like a basic form of Adobe Illustrator. Is great to see, and if he could do this for 20th. And todays history, that would be fine. Including for other subjects like: commerce, geography and journalism. Naturally with precisely the same high tier of this one! Posted 9.49am 21.12.2015.

Well its not even right to call it an Empire Just a bunch of pretty much independent German states in a Defensive alliance to outside enemies. Just look at Prussia it was a member of it yet it went and attacked Austria and they were the emperor
@Siegbert85
6 жыл бұрын
Prussia actually wasn't a member of it, only the margraviate of Brandenburg. Also, having individual vassals rising up against their liege hasn't been uncommon in other European kingdoms either.

8:20 How does England dominated western Europe? Winning the 7 YW made them superior outside of Europe but No way they are stronger than France politically military culturally in Europe: France has been the first military power since the mid 17th century onward till the mid 19th, You see European absolutism everywhere in Europe which is a french model not english. Lingua franca in Europe was French... You can say France and Britain were equals in 18th but Britain dominated western Europe is wrong, even since the hundred years war I think they weren't a single time they were able to do it so.
