The bronze age was my era of comics, I was born in 67' and started in with comics in the late 70's. I missed out on quite a bit before that but between reprints, compilations and the like I had at least a passing familiarity with most of it. Some days...some days I really wish I could go back, start sooner and be able to read them all again for the first time.

@Alpha Wërks automotive His extreme lack of social skills were copied over and over as well sadly. Same with the "alien landing to Earth" thing. Since he was the original, all of his elements have been taken by multiple characters, across multiple universes. He's still the best though. Despite a whole bunch of other characters having that extreme awkwardness, it still looks the best when it's on Clark Kent. Can't be topped.

I prefer the Bronze Age. This age was starting to adapt darker stories and psychological trauma. The Bronze Age has some similarities to the Modern Age. Some of the Bronze Age stories are for younger audiences such as Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, and Batgirl. In my opinion, I prefer the Bronze Age. I know the Bronze Age of Comics. After the Bronze Age, there's the Copper Age. I believe the Bronze and Copper Age of Comics, can be together as one era. Many people believed what if the Bronze Age of Comics still kept on going. For nearly 20 years. This explains why there's the Copper Age, known as the Post Bronze Age. The Copper Age, should be more like a companion and continuation of the Bronze Age. My idea naming for this era should be as "Bronze/Copper Age of Comics". Much like the Gold and Silver Age should be combined together. The Dark Age of Comics actually began with Rob Liefeld era and the start of the edgy aesthetic. This is why the Bronze and Copper should be combined together. This when the age of Patriotism and Innocence were slowly fading out. Which makes comics and other media be more philosophical, serious, mature, tragedy, and worth something fighting for. This is what feels like the beginning of the end.

When Jack Kirby first came to DC he was asked what book he wanted to work on. He didn’t want to throw anybody out of a job so he asked “What’s your worst seller?” They said “Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen.” He said “I’ll take that one.” Inside a year he introduced The Fourth World, The New God’s & Darkseid. And made it into DC’s best selling title.

As a collector who bought comic books from the newsstands in the 70s and 80s, it didn't bother me what people thought when I bought a comic book at a store. I knew there were those who thought you were dumb if you read comics. This was true all the way through high school. It didn't bother me - until I got to college. I remember one time there were a couple of pretty coed girls looking at me like I had mental deficiency walking in the dorm with comic book. I had a roommate who thought it was dumb reading Thor even though my reading comprehension was better than that of the average college student. So, I agree that the comic shops are a great place to go. However, if you live in a small town like me, you have to drive a good distance to get to one. That's what lost from the newsstands today. The availability of buying comic books. I can no longer just go down the street to buy one. I don't blame the comic shops. I blame all of those who thought comic books were dumb.

Since 2006 they have, in my view, been too many retcons/remakes/reboots/retellings/redrawings. Plus in 2009 Peter Parker was drawn in a way he looks buff, Parker/Spider-Man was always cool for many reasons one being he was built like a normal guy not another Superman nor Batman.
