Thank you so much for creating this! As a public school teacher, it helped me to create a meaningful and accurate unit on this topic. It gave students a chance to hear directly from someone who is from the community and who has served in several leadership positions. I appreciate how you included primary sources and images. I just learned that Mt. Spokane's original name was "scq'wulsm". I can't find the meaning of that word, however. Also, a Missionary to the Spokane Tribe Elkanah Walker wrote in his journals of a "Mountain with perpetual snow." But it couldn't of been scq'wulsm because it's not perpetually covered in snow like Mt. Rainier or Adams is.

Now if you'd only do that for the Atflati Tribe. Maybe we'd learn something about taking care of where we live.
