I'm really looking forward to this. The trailer looks hilarious. I grew up going to see his movies in the theater. I saw Young Frankenstein, High Anxiet, Silent Movie, and Spaceballs when they came out. I'd watched The Producers numerous times at home with my family.

@@afridgetoofar1818 It's astounding to me how many people are saying that, that it looks amazing to them. Have these people ever really watched a Mel Brook's film? Or are they paid Hulu bots. That is absolutely not a Mel Brook's film.... It's an abomination.

@@afridgetoofar1818 Yea I thought it looked absolutely shite..I get the sense they give Mel Brooks a good bit of money to put his name on this..and it was written by people who don’t know how to write comedy.

I am cautiously optimistic. The comedy of the era the original was made in, among films like Blazing Saddles, doesn't seem like it could exist in the modern sociopolitical climate.

I love Mel Brooks and History of the World Part 1 is one of my all time favorite comedies. I hate to be “that guy”, but this looks just awful, despite Mel being involved and a fantastic cast of comedians and actors that I really like. I’ll give it a shot, but I’m setting my hopes really low for this one.

I have a feeling... much like most of Mel's creative output, since Ronny Graham and Anne Bancroft died, it's merely his name being hung on someone else's writing for merchandising purposes...
