About to repair tensioner on a smaller 3T model. Looks like a very similar mechanism. Your video has probably saved me many hours of unnecessary disassembly. I hadn't thought of removing the idler. Would have figured it out eventually lol. Thanks for the time you took to make this video. Very appreciated.

I took that grease fitting out when I put the porta power between the blade and track when I ran the track off. It made pushing the tensioner back much easier. On the old D6 cat. Doc

That's the bad part about a dozer you have no boom and stick to help you put a track back on I've never actually ran a track off a dozer before

Would be good to see if it held but great vid ..but how did it work good or? Just curiouse cause when ya put white seal on it looked like a chunk stayed behind but anyways hope went well godbless.

I rely on this machine everyday in fact I'm running it right now I've got 3 Hitachi's and they have severed us very wel.... very very dependable
