Loving the reviews, keep em' coming! I have some older Hitachi cassete 18v gear, used and abused by my uncles and cousins on a jobsite for 6 years and still tanking the jobs! Shame they haven't added battery indicators, that's the one thing I wish mine had. Thanks!

Please do a comparison of 18V Cordless Brushless Band Saws and maybe a comparison against a regular freestanding Band Saw? Metabo, Milwaukee, and Hitachi, please. Maybe a comparison of 18V Cordless Brushless Angle Grinders too. Thank you.

Another top review!! Have you guys much of the Hitachi range overall? 18v pressure washer and 18v nibbler are pretty cool/niche tools but to still be operating a brushed jigsaw and brushed recip Saw and still charging good $$$ (in Aus) is slightly disappointing!

Can you change your car tires with this unit and if so; why should one purchase the 1/2 impact wrench? Do you really need both? Trying to save money...
@OZToolTalk
7 жыл бұрын
[Dwain] I didn't specifically try it, but yes you probably will manage the majority of car tires with this unit. BUT if the mechanic has done them nuts up with an air wrench too liberally, you never know what they will be torqued too. If you only want to buy one (like the average person), buy the one you'll use more, and adapt for other uses. If you do a lot of car work, get the wrench.

Was so close to buy into the Hitachi ecosystem today but lack of battery indicator on their batteries is really a deal breaker for me. I'm often at job sites without power and without good battery indication this is too much of a deal breaker for me. We have a few (~10) batteries on rotation for us to take on site for least 3 tools at any given time (impact/hammer/rotary) and we don't want to plug the battery in the tool to see which are charged and I also noticed engineers at Hitachi don't priorities battery indication as a priority because even when the battery is plugged in to the tool it will only show 2 battery indication levels. Come on Hitachi even $40 Ozito Power X Change battery has 4 level battery indicator levels buildin. We ended up going with Makita 170Z impact and it's ecosystem instead... If Hitachi can address this in the near future, we will jump on their bandwagon within a heartbeat. So close to perfection but such a large flaw.

They are green on both sides
@DemoToolsYT

@@acajutla I'm talking about the logo. They put the logo on one side. The other side is empty, for example in angle grinders
@acajutla

@@DemoToolsYT I think it's a way to make the green color part of the label. It's not unusual that companies try to make people wonder what a name or a logo means. That way it may stick better in memory. No logo at all will work the same way, those who are interested will find out. And since there is no other brand in the pro tool segment with that green color, it probably works. I have heard more than once references to "green tools" meaning Hitachi/Hikoki.

what's the point in getting it all dirty if you're just going to blast all of the dirt off with a hose? isn't the point to see how well a dirty cruddy gear assembly works? l feel like any tool can survive that much dirt if you're just going to wash it off in the end.
@OZToolTalk
6 жыл бұрын
The hose would only clean the outside of the tool though. If water gets inside with dirt, then you have mud inside, which is surely worse. Did you watch the whole video and see when i take it apart?
@ElectronicsForFun
6 жыл бұрын
the water gets inside of the drill just like the dirt, it looked like the water that got inside came out on the other end with some dirt in it. no l did not see you take it apart, if you could give me a time stamp that would be great because l can't find it.

Elizabeth A Or for the people who want the toughest and are on hitachi platform. It is a steep price but everyone has different priorities, if your On the impact driver all day then maybe it's worth every cent. (Mike)
@cameroncrane3770
7 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth A I don't think that necessarily because if you do this for a living you do one decent steel frame job or metal roofing or anything and they'll pay for themselves,Of course I used dewalts and Milwaukee's and porter cable etc etc and now they have these impacts to 356 with 2 3 ah batteries and a case and charger so it's not much more than the Milwaukee equivalent and if you look at hilti or ingersoll rand or dewalts or alot of them it may be a little more expensive than some but it's also ip56 rated and we will see after it's out a little longer if it's worth the money but again it's a heck of alot easier to spend when it makes your money back that fast
