Fascinating video, thank you so much for sharing it. I just moved to Passau a few weeks ago and am trying to soak up as much of its history as possible. I had no idea he lived here, and for such a big portion of his childhood. Very chilling somehow. Fascinating too with the near-drowning story. Do you visit Passau often or was this a one-off?

It was a one off, I was going to a business event nearby on the same day as this was filmed and had just visited a company the previous day. I thought it was a great place to visit, really attractive and the two rivers and their confluence was wonderful. Like many places, I would like to return but will it be possible?

my mother was from passau, she went to school there from 1940-45. she told me long ago, that they had a priest as teacher, who saved young hitler, when he broke through the ice of the inn as he went to elementary school in winter. it was widely known then

funny about the near drowning incident with the supposed Adolph. I remember watching a doc or was it a book on Adolf, he was quoted as saying that on land he feels secure, but on the 'sea, a total coward' Wonder if this incident plays into that 'See-furcht' or fear of large bodies of water. . . ??

Interesting analysis of Hitler's and Himmler's personalities. There are also parallels in early schooling and religion. I believe Himmler in particular to have materialised his childhood fantasies. Order Castles, dressing up and mass murder. Rudolph Hoess suggests that the appalling conditions in the camps was very much influenced by the Reichsfuhrer SS.

A small pronunciation point: Max Tremel would be pronounced *Tray* mel (3:00). The Inn looks massive. I always imagined it to have been much narrower. It's a little odd to me that an Austrian border official, as Hitler's father was, would be living in a German town although it was near the frontier. It looks like a beautiful city.

The swiss jew Henry Makow who now lives in Canada wrote once that the french police had a file on Hitler and according to that file Hitler was actually born in Passau in 1880 so if that is true then it means the official narrative is a lie. August Kubizeh who knew Hitler in his younger years wrote a book called Hitler was my youthood friend. An argentinian journalist don,t remember his name wrote also a book called Hitler lived in Argentina but it is written in spanish. Another thing was that both Hitler and Himmler were ardent catholics in their younger years and so was plenty of top nazi leaders and other lower ranking nazis too but that is also seldom mentioned.
@HistoryonYouTube

There is absolutely no doubt that Hitler was born on 20 April 1889 in Braunau. It is also completely false that he lived in Argentina. I have Kubizeck's book which is quite interesting. As for what you say about Hitler's Catholicism, I have referred to it many times. I have filmed the church he went to as a child. Hitler continued to pay the church tax until the end of his life which was dutifully handed over to the Vatican. Many Nazis were able to get their money's worth at the end of the war when Bishop Alois Hudal helped many Catholic Nazis escape. I also did some research in 1993 on the religion of concentration camp guards and found that the overwhelming majority were Catholic despite Catholics making up only around one third of the population.
