I've never really cared about sportsball so recently I wondered, "could I make a machine that plays sports for me?" I first saw this machine on Mythbusters when I was 9 years old. They were using it to cut a sword in half with another sword. I've had a desire to build it ever since.
The physics that I tried to explain in this video are an over-simplification and I am not an expert.
When we measured out the 300' foot marker with the air hose we counted one too many! It turns out the machine was crushing my goal repeatedly. What a dumb mistake but I think it added something fun to the video.
