Hopes are growing for a cure for HIV after scientists eliminated the virus from cells in a laboratory.
Using the Nobel Prize-winning gene-editing ‘scissors’ tool known as Crispr-Cas, researchers at Amsterdam University Medical Centre report being able to target HIV DNA and remove all traces of the virus from infected cells.
