Is 3rd generation INSTI rapid test at 12 weeks conclusive in your opinion?

Your results will not change in the next couple days. The 90 day window is specific to people with already pre existing conditions like late stage cancer for example. Something you would already know about.

I took PEP for 28 days and tested negative immediately after treatment. I don’t know if those results mean anything. Tested 2 days after PEP treatment

Alexa The waiting is the worst part. People can go years without symptoms. Symptoms are not how one determines their HIV status. Testing is the only way. If you have tested negative after week 4, the chances of your status changing at 90 days is extremely low. Generally people who test positive later have pre existing medical conditions. More so HIV is a condition that’s treated with one pill a day. It that makes a positive person undetectable. That means they can’t transmit the virus. HIV+ women can even have HIV Negative babies and besides the inconvenience of medication life expectancy doesn’t shorten. Im happy to say I made it through. It took knowledge, counseling, meditation, and a community of people to help me learn to deal with my mental illness. I’m stronger now. Even dealing with The current COVID situation. I’m not afraid because I stay informed. Good Luck on your journey. Please keep me informed as to how you are doing.

@@joelopez3105 thanks so much for your reassurance. It helps. Although i still remain anxious. Just got a sore ear now and its sparked off all my covid and hiv fear. Yeah i bought 3rd generation self test kits and apparently by week four if it says negative thats highly likely to stay that way. Im just gonna wait for the 6 week mark next week to test. I wish there was more out there on how hiv health has shifted. While i understand it is basically a chronic condition, besides jennifer vaughans channel, i dont really know just how easy life is after a dx of hiv..i also work in a country where hiv prevalence is high so ive seen a lot of patients who have it/ have family members with it. So this is why my anxiety is sky rocket:(. These next few weeks are gonna be tough despite the fact that im in therapy too.

Alexa Alexa I’m so glad to hear you are forecasting your triggers. I think it’s important to feel the waves of what will cause the anxiety before it starts. Eventually you will forecast those peaks and be emotionally prepared to handle them better. It’s amazing for me after going through so much hell. I was mentally prepared to deal with the fears of COVID. The fear didn’t shut me down or control me. I’m doing very well as a byproduct. I wasn’t notified that you commented until this week. I see you messaged last week. I’m very sorry about the late response. Support is the largest part of overcoming this struggle and I want you to know you aren’t alone. KZitem was apart of my healing process and also apart of what caused all my initial anxiety. If you would like to reach me faster please message me on Instagram enderrevin. Regarding the lack of information on HIV, I completely agree! Where the change starts is with us. Being advocates whenever possible. Changing the stigma whenever we have a platform to do so. I know your current negative status will not change. I’m so glad to hear about the counseling. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hey joe, I’m going through hell right now. I tested negative at 28 days and 94 days. I’ve looked at your videos and Jennifer’s. Plus seen many doctors on this issue. But I still can’t kick my symptoms. Head aces, throat feels wrong and my saliva goes from normal to thick like phlegm. Keep thinking the labs were wrong. I just can’t move on do you have any suggestions? Just wanna get back to normal

chris For me to begin healing, there were a couple things I needed to accept besides the facts. I won’t talk about HIV facts with you because, you know them. In your deepest heart you know you are negative and tests confirmed that fact. What you are experiencing now is the aftershocks of prolonged anxiety. Your mind and body have changed over this period. It’s probably been so long now that the person you were isn’t exactly clear in your minds eye. Only still you want that person back, that life style back, you want to get back to NORMAL. That normal doesn’t exist. Who you are moving forward will never be the same. Let me tell you, that’s totally okay. I’m never going to be who I once was and I’m okay with that. To start my healing I first accepted I would be different. It took time. I processed my situation like someone with an addiction. I took it day by day, I developed a routine, I sought out a councilor, And I talked to friends and family. The road back to “normalcy” didn’t happen over night. I carried affirmations with me for a while, a pocket of crystals, coins I would flip, and I started wearing a cross. All these physical representations would get me through moments where I felt as though I was slipping. Slowly I carried less and less. It happened on its own pace. Eventually, I would leave my room without taking my charms with me. It wasn’t intentional. I also deleted my photo affirmations off my phone to make space for photos of happy moments. What I’m getting at is a process that you need to allow yourself time for. I hope this helps. Good luck on your journey towards mental health. You aren’t alone.

Even if you have it. It's not a big deal like it was in the 80's. It's more like a chronic condition like diabtes which is what I suffer from.
